Ok Im not the sharpest rock in the creeck but saw an add that said a hound was 90% Deer Proof... What The HE(( does that mean??? He only runs deer 9 out of 10 times? ? LMAO

Seriously? I think what that means is generally speaking, the dog will not run deer but, now and then, he will. It also, generally is used only by people who want to sell a dog but do not want to say he is deer proof. Either it is deer broke or it isn't if you believe in absolutes. If not, some are worse than others.

I would just ignore the percentage and accept the fact "yep. that sucker will definitely run a deer". Since when are dogs partially deer proof? Either they are or they are not. So, don't leave home without the e-collars.

I interpret that to mean the dog isn't pressure broke. Probably won't start a deer, but will go with one or others that do?

Maybe it means that he only runs 1 tenth as far as a deer runner runs when he strikes a deer.
