No shortage of hare in the UP. Wolves are real but unlikely to be a problem.

wolves are a problem in the u.p. My friend just lost two of his best dogs 'bout a month ago.

Well I got back from a 8 day hunt in the UP.We ran hare all day everyday,lots of big runs and lots of splits. We did not have any issues with wolves. We didn't even see a track on the sand roads.I know they are there,but you take a chance of not recovering your hounds every time you drop the tailgate.

Sounds like you had lots of fun. I think I fear porcupines more than the wolves. Never lost a dog to a wolf but have to porky's.

We had hell with porky's at one trial UP last year.
